Creative Strategist, Founder
Greg Coyne, entrepreneur and investor, graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Art History. He served roles in operations and management positions at several prominent firms, including California’s Crown Books, and the Marriott Corporation.
In the late 1980s, Greg opened Martinizing, a dry cleaning production and retail facility on Alameda Island, in San Francisco Bay. Martinizing grew rapidly, expanding in volume, outlets and revenues. Over a ten year period it emerged as one of the leading firms of its industry, respected throughout the Bay Area.
Shifting directions, Greg sold Martinizing in the mid-90s to focus on family, community and his growing investment portfolio. He is co-founder of Coyne Brothers LLC, an investment and property development firm. In addition, he personally manages his own real estate and securities holdings. He is also co-founder and Vice Chair of the Coyne Foundation, which provides assistance to needy children, their families, and the environments in which we live; and co-founder and Vice President of the Ostara Foundation of Vancouver, BC, which promotes water research, education, and purification programs.

Married with four sons, Greg has taken a direct and leading role in the raising of his children on Alameda Island. Greg has been a teacher at his children’s elementary school and an adult leader in Cub Scouts. He is currently an Ambassador for a youth leadership program in the Bay area. With a continuing passion for the arts, Greg has assembled an impressive collection of rare books and Italian movie posters. For relaxation, he enjoys music and cooking.
