Dave Kirkpatrick

Dave Kirkpatrick is a native New Yorker who attributes his excitement for the new and the challenging to growing up in the city.

For the last twelve years, Dave Kirkpatrick has been working on the forefront of developing new software. He has worked with email security systems, distributed computing environments, and search applications. He is an enthusiastic proponent of the value that technology has to make the world a better place for people. Dave studied philosophy while attending university, and is excited to see how computer science is informed by philosophical concepts.

Outside of the realm of computer software and systems, Dave has in intense curiosity about the world. Being an autodidact, Dave is constantly pursuing both new knowledge, and a framework to make sense of it. In addition to his interest in technology, Dave also finds time to record music, run a creative writing group, run a Finnegan’s Wake study group, and try to teach his dog new tricks.
