For the first time ever human beings in every corner of the Planet are becoming empowered through awareness and a desire to shape their own futures — to dream the impossible dream. The key to this empowerment is technology, higher speeds, mobility and a variety of related tools which put power literally in the hands of the individual. Never before have so many individuals in so many places simultaneously been empowered to be themselves, to creatively express themselves, and to be both the message and the messenger.

During the 1990’s, I had the privilege of a front row seat during the Internet Revolution while serving in various executive capacities at America Online, Inc. and AOL Europe. The bold, visionary AOL co-founder, Steve Case, and a talented team had a dream to bring the power of the Internet to millions of people. We did just that and it was an amazing ride — “that AOL feeling” as I fondly call it now. Now almost twenty years later we are seeing the explosive growth of technology again.

At Saber Seven I’m beginning to return to “that AOL feeling.” I invested in and joined Saber Seven because I am so impressed with the creative and visionary people who have been attracted to the company. I am also intrigued by the empowering technology tools we are creating to allow people to not just dream the impossible dream, but to be their dream. We are marrying a sense of purpose within technology.

I’ve found myself in the front row again during the most dynamic and promising time in the evolution of our planet — when top-down, controlling institutions give way to enlightened and empowered individuals — the dreamers.

I can think of no higher calling then utilizing the power of technology to empower people to accomplish their dreams and aspirations. To be creative, to discover themselves, and in the process make their world and our world a better place. That’s my dream.
